なぜ「百毒下し」という名前なのか？

A. 便秘が習慣化すると、それに伴い肌あれ、吹出物、頭重、食欲不振などの症状が出ることもあります。このような便秘による数え切れないほどの弊害（百毒）を緩和する（下す）ということで、当時「百毒下し」と名づけられました。
